In our times, China has re-entered the world stage as a powerful and dynamic actor. It is evident that she wishes to have and will have increasing influence in our globalised world.

Cultural Exchange with China wishes to build bridges of solidarity between peoples of faith of China and the UK, especially between the Catholic Churches of both countries, as we try to keep a Gospel perspective alive and active in a world driven by a globalised economy. The Churches of both countries have a dynamic histories to draw from and share with one another in a mutually respectful manner. There has been a resurrection in the public forum of the Christian Churches in China in the past 25 years and they have much to share with the world about their fidelity to the Gospel during difficult times. In partnership we can be stronger together to face the demanding, challenging and exiting task of living the Gospel of Jesus Christ today and bringing its Good News to the to the attention of a modern globalised world as it seeks new directions and meaning.
